Soul eater

Very good anime, still in the making, revolving around a school of students training to fight against witches and daemons. Very funny. Good drawing, HD quality graphics.

Toradora!

Funny anime, still in the making, featuring a girl quite tsundere (if you don't know what that means, be ashamed and check wikipedia).

Moyashimon

Short and funny story about a guy than can see microbes. Gets better and better. Recommended.

Claymore

Good anime, quite short, about powerful girls fighting monsters. Nice drawing, good story, good logic, not too long (26 episodes). Recommended.

The Tower of Druaga: the Aegis of Uruk

http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=8746

A funny parody of dungeons & monsters games and anime. Liked it all. Each episode is a little bit surprising. The main characters are funny, the adventures are mostly funny. What's not to like ?

Anger Management

Overall, I think it's an "ok" movie. But I did find some scenes that I really liked, so I kind of recommend it :D

Gomorra

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0929425/

Life as a gangster / outlaw is not how it's showed in the movies. But ... I feel Gomorra shows the reality. I like films that are connected to reality, and I definitely liked this one. After seeing it, I also understood more about some Italians I worked with, about their way of being. (the ones I know aren't mobsters, by the way :) )

Here's a trailer.

Pineapple Express

Liked it, felt very funny to me. At least some of it, anyway :)

Encounters at the End of the World

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1093824/

I like the way the narrator speaks, slow and with purpose. I like the stories of some of the people working near the South Pole, at the end of our world. I like the story about the insane / disoriented penguins, and the sounds the seals make while in the water. And the feeling of peace and bigger purpose that I got from this documentary.

Bigger Stronger Faster

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1151309/

I think it's a great documentary. It reminds me about "Supersized Me". It's about the performance enhancement drugs in sports, about politics and misconceptions regarding that, about gym rats and their lifes. It's about cheaters, false heroes, and lies. I don't get to hear that often honest opinions about life and failures, and a birds-eye view about someone's life till the present time. I liked that very much.

About half way into the movie I paused it and started saying "fuck ... fuck! ... fuck ..." for about 30 seconds. So it had some "wow" moments for me.

Will definitely keep it, and I recommend you see it too.

The Visitor

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0857191/

I like stories about people being open to each other, and starting to live their life again after a self-imposed seclusion. I like seeing the sparkle of light glittering in their eyes again. Maybe I like African drum-beats. I like people communicating more through gestures then words. That's what I liked about this movie.

Even though I don't see living as an illegal immigrant as being a heinous crime, I don't like the "we did nothing wrong" attitude. I don't relate to it. If you know you did something against the rules, don't whine when you're caught. And I don't like the "thank you for being nice to us" attitude, without trying really hard to make up for it. If some stranger invests some money in my ass, should I just say "thank you" and that's it ? I didn't understand some of the interactions in the story.

So, I don't regret seeing the movie, I did learn a couple of things about African drums, and I liked the acting. I don't think I want to see it again, though.
